As a lifetime gamer, I was thrilled when Frame Machine came to me with the need to create a dynamic video reel highlighting the massive collection of Fortnite skins their talented team has designed over the years. The ask was to get as many of their favorite character designs into a single video as possible while maintaining the vibrant, energetic, and playful tone Fortnite players know and love.
The team provided me still renders of hundreds of character poses and lobby captures which I animated inside of After Effects using 3D cameras. The complimentary gradients in each shot create a sense of unique scenes and worlds that the camera travels through with a series of match cuts and transitions created by the rectangular frame element in reference to Frame Machine's own internal brand.
